Good mousse present on pour, subtle on sitting. Nice medium colour which goes with the lighter alcohol and vintage. Bouquet has complex notes of raspberry, cherry, mint with good lift (some varnish notes add to the complexity). Palate soft entry, nice bubble attack, smooth mid palate and finish. Nice sweetness in balance with acidity and soft dry tannins. Nice long finish, a complex sparkling style.

Always Summer somewhere! Gorgeous, bright colour with medium depth this wine is typical of European Style but authentically the Byronsvale “terroir’- our complete natural environment shines through. Bouquet is cherry ripe with some subtle herbal notes, The palate is soft and berry juicey. A dry wine low in alcohol with no oak, best enjoyed slightly chilled for lunch or at room temp in the evening. This delicious wine has been created from our hand selected shiraz grapes by our wine maker Lindsay Ross. Our Shiraz is typical of the great red wines produced in our region, displaying deep colours and complex spicy dark fruit characters. Superb drinking now or can be cellared for 10 - 12 years. WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS: The palate echoes the bouquet with dark berry fruits and subtle smokey oak and cedar notes. A full palate with a rounded balance of ripe black fruits tannins, which are fine and long with a soft acidity. Long in flavour with a firm dry finish.
